Notes

7 The "complete" Step-Mod Kit, KA550101-100-SM, is the same as the "normal" Aft Baggage Kit, KA550101-100, except it is adjusted for the forward tailcone positioned compressor's exhaust ducting.
8 This kit is for aircraft with the Hamilton-Standard Air Cycle Machine (generally S/Ns 550-0482 & -0485 & later) or with a drag chute installed. Determine if your aircraft A.C.M. is of AirResearch or Hamilton-Standard manufacture.
9 This kit only replaces the forward area (F.S. 377.95 to 400.5) of our previously installed kit KA550101-100 to allow A.C. compressor ducting.
10 The Battery Relocation Kit is required for aircraft with battery installed aft of F.S. 377.95. (Usually aircraft S/N 550-0254 & later have the battery located at F.S. 419.7.)
11 For installation without kit KA550101-100, or KA550101-300, or KA5501-1-100-SM, the Aft Panel P/N KA550101-100 (List $375/Dealer $300) may also be required. The STC No. SA2692CE is for Part 21 Certified Aircraft. The STC No. SA00114WI is for Part 21 Certified Aircraft. If aircraft is equipped with vertical stabilizer de-ice boots, the customer must re-fab parts or use the De-Ice Lines Relocation Kit (List $350/Dealer $300). (Installer will require tube bending & flaring tools.) Also, $250 would be added for extra installation labor, if applicable.

Evaluating Kit Requirements for Your Citation II Model Aircraft

  • Citation Models 550/551: Aft Baggage Kits KA550101-100, KA550101-300, KA550101-100-SM, or KA550/551 ADAPT & Optional Aft Tube Kit KAS550105-1 & (possibly required) Battery Relocation Kit KA550300-BR.
  • If the aircraft has a CVR or other equipment located between F.S. 377.95 and F.S. 486.5, that equipment may have to be relocated before the full baggage kit may be installed.
  • If the aircraft has no A.C. compressor nor drag chute in the tailcone and is equipped with the AirResearch Air Cycle Machine, then the standard kit KA550101-100 may be installed. If it has the Hamilton-Standard Air Cycle Machine or a drag chute that will not be removed, then the Kit KA550101-300 may be installed.
  • If the aircraft has an A.C. compressor located in the tailcone, the compressor may have to be raised or relocated, re-positioned and re-ducted before the full baggage kit may be installed. If the A.C. compressor is located in the tailcone forward of F.S. 377.95, then Kit KA550101-100-SM may be installed. Or, if the aircraft already has our Kit KA550101-100 installed and an A.C. with a tailcone forward position compressor is being added, then the Kit KA550/551 ADAPT would be required.
  • If the A.C. compressor is located between F.S. 377.95 and F.S. 428.5, then the compressor must be moved to the floor aft of F.S. 428.5 before Kit KA550101-100 may be installed. Or, the compressor must be moved forward of F.S. 377.95 before Kit KA550101-100-SM may be installed.
  • If the A.C. compressor is located aft of F.S. 428.5, it may still require a cover and re-ducting before the Kit KA550101-100 may be installed.
  • If the battery is located in front of the tailcone access doorway at F.S. 419.7, it must be relocated forward of F.S. 377.95 using Kit KA550300-BR before the full baggage kit may be installed.
  • If the Kit KAS550105-1 is to be installed, some de-ice lines and fittings may have to be adjusted or replaced.
  • If grospoint liner material is desired, then the customer must stipulate it upon order. If grospoint material other than one of our normal Marion P/Ns UPGR01 Light Gray or UPGR24 Wood is desired, advance payment for additional material & freight may be required.
  • If the kits are shipped out-of-country, FAA Form 8130-3 inspection, paperwork, and expenses will also be required.
